Im a student pilot learning at Aerowood Aviation at EQY Monroe. I've been flying with Jim Efird CFII in their 1946 Aeronca Champ 7AC. Its been a real lot of fun! Its basic old school flying. The taildragger wont let you take it easy until you are tied back down at the hangar/parking spot. Im close to solo-ing, andwill keep you all posted on the progress. Happy flying!

Getting there is half the adventure... First time was a delight! Randy Utsey and myself (Michael Zeeveld) left from UZA Rock HIll loaded with camping gear, full tanks of fuel and a IFR flight plan. We stopped in Logansport GGP in the middle of Illinois. It was in the middle of a cornfield. The airport staff were really nice and cooked us up some burgers. We loaded back up and were back on to AirVenture!
